Israeli Latin Dancing

A friend of mine in Israel sent me a link to a video of him Latin dancing. There's some group dancing and then the video switches to him at 4:38.

It would be good to have Rami back here showing us how it's done. (except that move at 5:48, I'm happy not knowing that one) Maybe I'll just put some effort into improving and head out there. It looks like there's some, erm, talented dancers there.

Crusaders win the Super 12

For the fifth time the Crusaders have won the Super 12 rugby union competition. This is the last year of the competition which means that the Crusaders won it 50% of the time, were in the finals 70% of time and are the last team to be etched on the trophy. Gotta love that!

Today I went to the honoring ceremony in the Square, I got some autographs and held the trophy. It's lighter than I thought it would be and it hadn't had the 5th win etched yet.

Next year is the start of the Super 14. Lets hope they can keep it going!

Cheap Phone Calls

On the weekend of 1 May I made a bunch of phone calls. I called the US and AU and spoke for over 7.5 hours. Everyone kept asking how cheap the calls were, well...

Under normal charging conditions I made $238.04 worth of calls. Under the current weekend promotion it would have cost me $71.30. But that weekend was special and those calls cost me a total of $5.

Over the entire bill I saved $315.38. Fairly impressive, but still not as good as my May 2004 savings of $7,075.84.

The Wil to Read

A while ago I decided that I would have to give up WIL WHEATON dot NET for very similar reasons why I gave up Slashdot. I enjoyed the content of Wil's blog but found myself taking too much time reading it. It's still a Channel in FeedDemon, but currently sits with 94 unread items.

A small update to the slashdot thing. I've managed to stay away from slashdot as a daily routine. I've maybe visited the site 10 times since dropping it, but now even Google wants to tempt me.

Playboy Mansion West - Update

In a previous post I mentioned that I was trying to get onto the Top 10 Hotspots list with the Playboy Mansion.

There was a mysterious (*cough* *cough*), never to be repeated, surge in views. When the surge in traffic stopped it had entered the Top 10 at #9 by 16 views or so. That went down to about 2 before it started going up again.

Today it has moved into spot #8, surpassing Microsoft HQ. Next step is 209 views away. It'll be interesting to see how long it takes before the sex palace can trounce the mouse.

10 Days of Music

Well, 9 days 6 hours 26 minutes and 45 seconds of music, to be exact. (3222 songs)

Back in September last year I resolved to listen to every bit of music that I had on my computer and as of yesterday, I'm done.

Why did it take me 234 days to listen to 10 days of music? Well, I had to listen to each song in it's entirety. I couldn't skip a song if I wasn't in the mood for it. Some days I didn't listen to any music. Some days I didn't feel like random music and listened to songs I'd already heard. And I kept adding more and more songs to the computer.

Unfortunately, there's still a bunch of CD's that I haven't put on the computer. But at least the "Not Played Songs" list is empty for now.
