Photo of the Week

This is a view of the Tasman Glacier. There's a couple meters of dirt and rock on top of the ice, but the white of the ice is clearly visible throughout the image.

As you might have noticed I've renamed "Friday is Photo Day" to "Photo of the Week." I've been a bit tardy with the images, so this is a bit more truthful now.

I've also changed servers holding the images. The geocities account was approaching its limit. I've also added a thumbnail page with all the 'photo day' images.

Friday is Photo Day

This is a rainy view overlooking the Mt Cook village.

There's nothing wrong with this photo, this is how it actually looked. SM and I decided to go for a walk in the rain and this was the resulting view.

Friday is Photo Day

This is a frosted view of Mt Cook.

I was rushing against the weather and grabbed the camera from my car. I hadn't considered the fact that it had been below zero overnight. The clouds were moving closer by the second so I found my position and took the shots. Happy that I was faster than the clouds, I packed the camera away.

Note to self: Let the lens warm up before taking photos.

Friday is Photo Day

This photo was taken at Castle Rock, mentioned two weeks ago.

This is a view of the eastern part of Christchurch. Castle Rock is in the foreground with Ferrymead at the base of the hill. You can see the motorway that leads to the Lyttleton tunnel.

You left out the part where you just wanna see if I'm gonna be eaten by something.
